Today is Saturday. The Golden Girl and I began the day with a snowshoe hike; it was a beautiful morning to be outside. 22 degrees, some flurries and a peak of the sun. Since her daddy is sick with a cold he didn't join us. Sandi loves to run thru the woods; her nose is definitely her "newspaper". It is great to let her off the leash and watch her go. We are fortunate to live here and have acess to the land known as Fumee Lake Natural Area. The area has over 1800 acres with two lakes "Big Lake Fumee" and "Little LakeFumee".

Things we've learned from our golden.
1. A tired dog is a good dog.
2. No matter how bad your day a golden is always happy to see you.
3. A golden retreiver is a "retriever".
4. You can never have enough tennis balls
5. Eating apples, bananas, green beans, carrots and lettuce are better when shared with a golden.
6. Take time to smell the flowers.
